Vegan Cheese Snack Bites
Easy homemade snack, that’ll be great for kids or adults! If you’ve had cheese crackers before going vegan or before eating less dairy you know how delicious they are. This will not disappoint. Fluffy with crispy edges. They are so addictive!
Ingredients
8 ounces cheese alternative (I used Diaya Mozzarella)
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2tsp sea salt
4Tbs cold vegan butter
3Tbs ice cold water
Sprinkle of salt for top
Directions
- In a medium sized bowl add cheese alternative, whole wheat flour, and sea salt. Using a fork cut in butter, a tablespoon at a time. Until mixture resembles a sandy texture. Stir in ice water with fork until mixture forms into a ball.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap or reusable sandwich bag and store in fridge for 30min-1hr.
- Flour a clean surface and roll dough out until about 1/4inch thick. Using a pizza cutter or knife cut into squares (don’t have to be perfect). Transfer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or reusable silicon mat.
- Bake for 15-17 min or until golden brown. Sprinkle with salt right out of oven. Let cool and enjoy. Store in air tight container.
