French Toast Bake

 If  you love French toast, but want a healthier version of it this is for you! You will not be disappointed when you dig into this delicious dish. Serves 4-6 people. 
 

Ingredients 
1 loaf of crusty whole grain bread of choice 
1 1/2 cup unsweetened milk alternative 
1Tbs cinnamon
1/2 tsp black salt (for egg taste) or sea salt if you do not have black salt 
1/4 cup Milled flax seeds 
1Tbs agave syrup 
1tsp vanilla 
1Tbs melted dairy free butter 
Pure Maple syrup for topping after it’s cooked 

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bread slices into cubes and place in an 13x8 greased baking dish. Set aside
  2. In small bowl combine milk alternative, cinnamon, salt, flax seeds, vanilla, and agave syrup. Whisk together and pour over top bread. Let soak for 5-10min. Covering all the bread. Drizzle melted butter over French toast bake. 
  3. Bake for 45 min or until top is crispy and inside is set. Top with maple syrup and enjoy!
