Cranberry Spiced Cookies

Hints of spice with that tart delicious flavor of cranberry. These will be a hit for Christmas!

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp all spice
1 tsp baking soda
dash of salt
1/2 cup dairy free butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cane sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce or 2 flax eggs (2Tbs flax mill with 4Tbs cold water)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dried cranberries

Directions
1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. In a medium bowl combine flour, turmeric, cinnamon, all spice, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together and set aside.
3. In a large bowl with a hand mixer cream together the butter, brown sugar, and cane sugar until light and fluffy. Once fluffy add apple sauce or flax egg and vanilla. Cream together, start adding half of the flour mixture into the butter sugar mixture using hand mixer to combine. Add other half of flour mixture and finish mixing. Using a rubber spatula add in cranberries to dough and mix well.
4. Drop tablespoon sized balls of cookie dough on a lightly greased pan or on parchment paper (recommended). Bake for 10 minutes until lightly browned if using a light pan. Or bake for 6 minutes if using a dark pan or if oven gets hotter than normal.

Cookie dough can be stored in freezer, I usually make my dough 2 days ahead. Still use the same cooking times and temperatures.
